We are the nation

Billian Okoth is a driving force and an idealist in one of the world’s largest slums. Using music as a tool and focusing on education, he wants to develop future leaders of Kenya through his project called Billian Music Family. Moses is the most talented rapper in the group. He has big dreams, and is one of the lucky few children Billian has managed to get into school. But how big can you actually dream when your toilet consists of a plastic bag and your parents earn less than a dollar a day?
All the members of Billian Music Family are victims of one of the most corrupt political systems in the world. A political system that Billian despises and refuses to be part of. But eventually he realizes that he needs power to make a change. He defies his earlier convictions and runs for parliament, putting his values and integrity to the test.
Moses and the rest of the children in Billian Music Family are left behind. How will they fare without their leader? Will he re- turn to them? Will he fail? Will he succumb to the very system he has been fighting? Or will he manage to make a change?
